Innovation Universities and Skills Committee
After a two year sabbatical from select committees Ian is back on the newly formed Innovation Universities and Skills Committee.
The Committee replaces the Science and Technology Select Committee which Ian chaired from 2001-2005.
The Times Higher Supplement led with the headline "Labour Rebel Returns to the Fray" and The Guardian comments "the prodigal son appears to have been welcomed back into the fold". Ian is looking forward to getting his teeth into the work of the new committee.
